Steve Vito, a veteran in the information technology publishing world, is leaving Government Executive magazine to join CACI International Inc. as vice president of partnerships and alliances. He'll help CACI make teaming partners for the company's contracts, focusing on the civilian side of government. Vito has a long and impressive résumé in IT publishing. He was publisher of Federal Computer Week and associate publisher of Byte magazine.

Meanwhile, Aldona Valicenti, former chief information officer of Kentucky, joined Oracle Corp.

Mary Whitley, assistant commissioner for customer relationship management and sales for the General Services Administration's Federal Technology Service, joined Unisys Corp.

Cristin Flynn joins BellSouth Corp. as director of national security emergency preparedness.

Mark Hughes, president of Service Applications International Corp.'s System and Network Solutions Group will serve a two-year term as chairman of the Government Electronics and Information Technology Association.
