Jimmy Parker, former chief information officer at the General Services Administration's Federal Technology Service, has been named assistant regional administrator of GSA's Heartland Region, which has its headquarters in Kansas City, Mo.

Casey Coleman, former deputy associate administrator for citizen services at FTS, has been promoted to CIO.

Mike Wash joins the Government Printing Office as chief technical officer and co-director of the Office of Innovation and New Technology.

Jamie Sullivan, communications director for Computer Sciences Corp.'s federal sector for the past five years, has become

a vice president of Weber Shandwick, a public relations firm that counts former presidential press secretary Jody Powell and Sheila Tate, former press secretary for first lady Nancy Reagan, among its founders.

Bruce Klein, vice president of federal sales at Hewlett-Packard Co., jumps to Cisco Systems Inc. as the company's vice president of federal sales.

President Bush intends to nominate Valerie Lynn Baldwin to be an assistant secretary of the Army for financial management at the Defense Department. Baldwin currently works for the House Appropriations Committee's Military Construction Subcommittee.

Gen. Hugh Shelton, former chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, has joined the board of directors at Robbins-Gioia LLC.
