Letter: Last-minute funding better than none

Regarding “Bush pumps money into cyberdefenses,” $152 million at the 11th hour is better than nothing, but for the Bush administration, it’s the same old thing: too little too late, but good for the press release.

Why should the cyberdefense funding be any different than any other administration initiative/program? That's why there have been so many failures on both the domestic and foreign fronts. Lack of expertise, lack of commitment results in lack of funding, lack of completion--Mission Accomplished!
