Letter: Contracting officer wants to participate in policy talks

Regarding "House caucus to deal with contracting": I am a U.S. government contracting officer.  I began my career at the Securities and Exchange Commission in 1983.  I left the SEC in 2003, worked briefly with EPA, then four years with DOL/OIG, and currently working at GPO.  My decision to move around in government and share my experiences with other agencies has been difficult and rewarding.

I would very much like to share these experiences with the new committee as a member of a focus group, subcommittee member, etc.  I can retire next year, in November.  However, I would like to remain if I can provide some assistance to lawmakers that will be reviewing and revising government acquisition policy and procedures.
