Also in the News: Feds are moving into the cloud

Given the current state of the economy and the budget pressures facing them, federal agencies are increasingly looking to cloud computing to help them find efficiencies and cost savings, eWeek reports.

It’s not an entirely new concept for the government, as agencies such as the Defense Information Systems Agency and National Science Foundation have been using cloud computing for some time to deliver services for their customers.

But now many more agencies are considering the move, even though such things as security and privacy can pose steep barriers to adoption, eWeek said.
