Ramsey is responsible for IBM's business relationships with the federal government, which includes sales, services, marketing and consulting strategies. In only his second year in that position, Ramsey has developed a culture of loyalty and dedication that has resulted in effective, efficient solutions for his clients.
He has had a number of high-level jobs at IBM, said consultant Jim Obendorfer, who has known Ramsey for 15 years. Ramsey's current position “is a very big operation. That’s probably about 4 percent of IBM’s business,” Obendorfer said. “People love to work for him because he can make decisions and give direction.”
Ramsey devotes much of his free time to the Partnership for Public Service, where he helps train government executives through the Excellence in Government Fellows Program.
