Nominated for: Directing the efforts of more than 140 government and contractor personnel in eight locations, including Iraq, Kuwait, Afghanistan and Germany, for a major automated information system. The organization successfully fielded more than 4,000 hardware items to Army units and successfully implemented 50 software changes. It has also trained 3,000 users in 282 classes.
First IT mentor: Col. Joseph Grebe. He was the product manager for the Battle Command Sustainment Support System at the time, and he was my first boss as a Department of the Army civilian employee. He gave me a chance to excel in a program that was moving fast and doing great things. I am grateful for the opportunities he provided me and the trust he put in a new employee.
Latest accomplishment on the job: Coordinated the retirement of two legacy transportation systems used by the Army and the migration of the users to the Army system of record, TC-AIMS II.
Career highlight: My career highlight has been managing the Operations Division for PD-TIS. It’s given me the opportunity to manage the training, fielding, exercise support, functional support and logistic missions for the program. It was the perfect position to develop my technical and management skills in preparation for greater opportunities.

Favorite app: Quicken.
Dream non-IT related job: Own a beach bar on a tropical island. As long as I’m dreaming, I might as well be the guitar player in the house band also.
