Federal 100: Susie Adams

Susie Adams
Chief Technology Officer
Microsoft Federal

The list of true gurus in the federal IT community is short, but Microsoft Federal’s Susie Adams is definitely on it.

Adams uses her 25 years of IT experience to help agencies maximize their IT investments. In 2010, her most visible role was promoting cloud computing in government by demonstrating to agency leaders how a seemingly complex prospect could easily become a way to reduce costs and increase efficiency.

Adams is adept at showing agency leaders how to address security and privacy concerns when moving IT operations into a cloud environment. Her work dovetailed with federal CIO Vivek Kundra's efforts to encourage agencies to adopt cloud computing.
