Federal 100: Kelly Miller

Kelly Miller
Deputy CIO
National Security Agency

Kelly Miller hasn't shied away from the daunting task of aligning IT environments for the Defense Department and Intelligence Community to ensure they have a sound and effective architecture.

As part of a small team from the defense and intelligence agencies, Miller engineered improvements in the Intelligence Community’s information environment to support deployed forces and headquarters leaders. His persistence, practicality and solid engineering know-how kept the team on track. Miller has been a key player in the convergence of those environments in part because of his experience as former chief engineer at NSA.

He improved the environment’s architecture and engineering while driving the community to use existing capabilities and ensuring that any new efforts support the shared environment.
