CMS solicits contracts for data center project

The Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services is soliciting contracts for its virtual data center, part of its transition to better IT hosting, reports NextGov.

Earlier this month CMS posted a pre-solicitation notice for draft requests for proposals from large and small companies and plans to hosts a vendor Webinar on Aug. 26 for those interested in bidding, the article said.

One RFP solicits for a data center host and infrastructure services provider that would manage “all activities (end to end),” while another is for a master contract for help desk support, training and maintenance.
