Obama picks Dan Gordon's successor

Joseph Jordan could become the next administrator for the Office of Federal Procurement Policy within the Office of Management and Budget. President Barack Obama announced on Feb. 3 his intention to nominate Jordan for the position.

Jordan is currently senior advisor to OMB Acting Director Jeffrey Zients, a position he assumed just two months ago, in December 2011. Between 2009 and 2011, he served as associate administrator for government contracting and business development at the Small Business Administration.

Dan Gordon, the previous OFPP administrator, stepped down in December, moving to academia as associate dean for government contracts law at the George Washington University Law School.
