Has anyone applied for an AFIT degree program in this forum?
I am looking into trying to get a government paid MS degree. I haven't heard of many options and wanted to explore this one.
I have a background in engineering but the degree I have is a management B.S. degree. I am looking into getting into a Supply Chain Managment masters program.
Has anyone got any ideas for how to obtain a free degree in this field? I am not ACQ certified so tuition assistance is out the window at the moment.
Thanks for any advice.

You say you're SLRP eligible...have you received any SLRP?
Yes you would have to pay it back.
Federal Career Planning and Development : Using old contractor experience to fulfill TIG

Hi all. I have recently been found ineligible for a GS-7 "status only" position due to not having sufficient TIG at my current GS-6 position, with the Navy.
Is there any cases where HR can allow contractor experience from several years ago towards the GS-7 "status only" position? I am a vet and when I worked as a contractor for 3 years, my direct government counterpart was on a GS-7/9 ladder appointment.
This forum has been very helpful and has already told me that the answer is "No" and HR will only count the time from my current GS position, towards the position I am applying.
However with another "status only" DOS position, not only I was found referred, I was also interviewed for it. (though failed miserably)
Did I just get lucky with that particular announcement?
Also, does it make any different if I am currently on a temporary appointment, as far as TIG is concerned?

King Fed, let me expand. You can still get fired but ss a Veteran you have appeal rights under the MSPB even in probation.
| Uniformed Services Employment and Reemployment Rights Act (USERRA) (Public Law No. 103-353) - This law authorizes an appeal to MSPB based on an agency's alleged violation of your employment or reemployment rights following your service in a uniformed service (including discrimination based on such service or your obligation to perform it, or on your status as a veteran).|
I have never seen one win but Veteran can appeal.
