Federal 100 award: Thomas (Tony) Summerlin

Thomas Summerlin
Vice president and director of consulting
Touchstone

Summerlin has been a huge force behind the scenes for the CIO Council. His work was critical in preparing for the presidential transition. His dedication to the federal government and the e-government program is immeasurable, said Karen Evans, former Office of Management and Budget administrator for e-government and information technology.

Touchstone provides expert support services for IT and information management for agencies, including management of their IT portfolios or the program management of critical mission services.

“His leadership ensured the necessary material pertaining to the CIO Council's work and efforts were ready for the transition team," Evans said. "He works tirelessly to achieve the goals of the E-Government Act and for the American taxpayer to truly achieve a citizen-centered government and services."
