Federal 100 winner: Colleen Coggins

Colleen Coggins
Chief architect
Interior Department

Coggins pulled double duty, overseeing the Interior Department's mission-supporting transformation plans while also working as chairwoman of the CIO Council’s Federal Segment Architecture Working Group. The group’s Federal Segment Architecture Methodology is a step-by-step process that includes templates to speed architecture development and adoption and promotes a common approach to architecture across all federal agencies.

“Colleen Coggins’ selfless contributions of time and energy outside of her job description will provide for long-lasting federalwide benefits,” said Kshemendra Paul, chief architect at the Office of Management and Budget.
