Fed 100 winner: Janice Nall

Janice Nall

Director of the division of eHealth Marketing

Centers for Disease Control and Prevention

Nall pioneered the transformation of CDC.gov and the use of new-media tools that expanded the agency’s audience reach.

As a result of Nall’s work in bringing Web 2.0 tools to CDC.gov, the Web site has received the second highest ranking among government agencies in customer satisfaction. New-media tools such as podcasts, virtual worlds and online video have disseminated vital health information from CDC to millions of people.

"Under her leadership, our agency Web site has become one of the best in government, and we are among the government leaders in social media and participatory Web applications," said Jay Bernhardt, director of CDC’s National Center for Health Marketing.
