Federal 100 winner: Molly Wilkinson

Molly Wilkinson

Chief of Staff

Small Business Administration

Wilkinson led several projects that improved the agency's efficiency, including the Business Development Management Information System (BDMIS), a system that allows small businesses to file applications for 8(a) status online.

Before Wilkinson’s involvement, attempts to deploy the BDMIS had been unsuccessful. Wilkinson shepherded the implementation, which cut processing times for applications in half and facilitated more efficient progress tracking by SBA employees. Wilkinson was also instrumental is developing SBA’s Loan Management and Accounting System.

“She has been responsible for ensuring that all of the program offices are working together closely … that deadlines have been met and work phases completed fully and timely,” said David Drabkin, deputy chief acquisition officer at the General Services Administration.
