Federal 100: Herbert Hunter

Herbert Hunter
Director, Force Projection and Readiness Division, 554th Electronics Systems Group, Maxwell Air Force Base-Gunter Annex, Ala.
Air Force Department

Hunter has worked wonders in Air Force logistics on multiple fronts, dramatically improving the service’s ability to manage its supply chain.

Hunter’s team developed a first-of-its-kind joint war planner billet view for force assignments through the $30 million Global Force Management program. He also fielded an automated logistics feasibility analysis system that cut the time for collecting theater combat assets from 120 days to 15 minutes.

Under Hunter's leadership, the force deployment team received rave reviews after its first evaluation by the Office of the Secretary of Defense.
