Navy delays NGEN award

The Navy has delayed the award of its Next Generation Enterprise Network contract until May, officials announced on Jan. 29.

NGEN supports Navy transport and enterprise services. Naval officials said the delay is "due to the complexities of the NGEN requirements," and that sequestration and budget concerns were not a factor -- though "it is unclear how they might impact the NGEN award schedule in the near future."
