Federal 100: Margie Graves

Name: Margie Graves
Title: Deputy CIO
Agency: Department of Homeland Security

She testified on short notice before unhappy House members, maintained her professionalism even when Capitol Hill staffers mischaracterized her career at DHS and refused all press inquiries unrelated to DHS IT initiatives. In short, Graves put the department's needs ahead of her own interests in the face of intense public scrutiny.
