Anita Jones, the Defense Department's director of research and engineering, said she will resign soon from her position but would not specify when or reveal where she plans to go. Jones has been at the Pentagon since 1993.
Ronald Williams last month accepted an appointment as head of the General Services Administration's Federal Telecommunications Service operations in the agency's six-state Great Lakes Region, headquartered in Chicago. Williams previously worked as the region's director of FTS technical services.
Anne Harlan was named director of the Federal Aviation Administration's William J. Hughes Technical Center in Atlantic City, N.J. Harlan will manage the aviation research and development facility and also be responsible for management of Atlantic City International Airport, which is owned and operated by the FAA. She previously was deputy director at the center and replaces Guy Gardner, who became associate administrator for regulation and certification at FAA headquarters.
Kenneth Johnson last month was named president and chief executive officer of Cordant Inc. Johnson previously led Cordant's Federal Systems Group and serves as chairman of the Industry Advisory Council.
Kenneth Casazza, a 15-year veteran of Cordant, was appointed vice president of corporate development at Tracor Information Systems Co., a new unit of Cordant's parent company, Tracor Inc.
