(CBD June 5) The USDA Food Safety and Inspection Service is seeking information on available laboratory information management systems. FSIS operates three technical support laboratories (TSLs) located in Athens Ga. St. Louis Mo and Alameda Calif.These laboratories provide analytical services in chemistry microbiology and veterinary pathology on meat poultry and egg-product samples. TSL functions are provided by a combined staff of more than 160 people who in 1996 performed more than 704 000 analyses on more than 116 000 samples.
