Constant activity

The market for identity management solutions is growing as companies enter partnerships and offer a broader range of products. Such solutions allow organizations to manage user identities and secure access to information and applications. IDC projects that the market will grow at a rate of 32 percent annually during the next few years and reach $4 billion by 2007.

Some recent activity includes:

Plumtree Software Inc. and Oblix Inc. formed an alliance to allow clients to securely extend their Web portals to customers, suppliers and partners.

Sun Microsystems Inc. introduced three products that focus on securing directory services and Web access and managing user permissions enterprisewide.
