Position: Deputy administrator for federal procurement policy.

Education: Undergraduate degree in commerce from the University of Virginia
Master’s degree in public administration from Virginia Tech.

She was also part of the Senior Executive Fellows Program at Harvard University.

Career: Field began working at the Transportation Department in 1990 as an acquisition intern.
In 2000, she went to the Office of Federal Procurement Policy on a detail assignment and was hired permanently soon thereafter.

Interests: Field is an avid skier. She has skied throughout Europe and the United States. She most often skis in Park City, Utah.

Tidbits:: Field’s father was a ski jumper.

She comes from a family of public servants. Her father worked at the Government Accountability Office (then called the General Accounting Office), and her grandfather worked for the state of Massachusetts.
