Nominated for: Revitalizing the management of the JKO distance learning program. JKO had been languishing, with declining participation and minimal content, before being transferred from the Joint Staff to the Joint Forces Command’s Joint Warfighting Center, which is when Vozzo stepped in and began riding herd. The program now offers nearly 450 certified courses, with more than 128,000 registered users.

First IT mentor: Dr. Joe Ecker, my master's degree adviser at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. Dr. Ecker’s ability to clearly and simply articulate solutions to extremely complex and challenging problems was phenomenal.

Latest accomplishment on the job: Providing operationally relevant required training to military personnel before their departure for Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom.
