Federal 100: Craig F. Brandenburg

Craig F. Brandenburg

Name: Craig F. Brandenburg
Title: Navy 311 Project Director
Agency: Department of the Navy

Customer service visionary. Brandenburg's vision for improving the Navy's customer relationship management included a catalytic element: Navy 311, a single point of entry for sailors and their families seeking non-emergency assistance anytime, anywhere. Modeled on municipalities' centralized call centers, it provides expanded services at a reduced cost. Brandenburg brought together logisticians, engineers and resource sponsors to transform existing services into a viable, 21st-century IT business system. Without Brandenburg to champion the effort, Navy 311 might never have left port.
