The Homeless Management Information System, the Nationwide Health Information Network, the My HealtheVet portal, mental health alerts for providers, and other initiatives have a direct, positive impact on the daily lives and health of veterans across the country. Superiors credit Schliesman with helping transform VA into a more veteran-centric organization and setting an example that other agencies want to emulate for their own constituencies.
