7 feds to follow on Twitter

Following @stevenvDC is all well and good, but these agency IT leaders are truly taking part in the Twitter conversation.

1. @rickholgate

You can monitor scores of federal IT news sources. Or you can follow Rick Holgate, CIO for @ATFHQ, and find most of it in his Twitter feed.

2. @caseycoleman

Casey Coleman, CIO for @USGSA, tends to share more mainstream tech stories, with a dose of agency news for good measure. And cycling.

3. @dan_munz

As product director for @CFPB — an agency whose style belies its stodgy name — Dan Munz is all about engagement. For proof, look at his tweets.

4. @bethbeck

As befits her outreach manager job, Beth Beck tweets a ton of @NASA news. But she also has a thing for startups.

5. @Farzad_ONC

If health IT is your bag, @ONC_HealthIT's Farzad Mostashari is your guy — despite his plans to be become an ex-fed.

6. @JeanneHolm

Got a question about #opendata? Jeanne Holm, @usdatagov evangelist, probably has the answer — or is tweeting with someone who does.

7. @JustinHerman

Justin Herman, GSA’s staunchest #socialgov advocate, tweets early and often on everything from agency IT to #karaoke.
