Federal 100: Dan Tangherlini

Name: Dan Tangherlini
Title: Administrator
Agency: General Services Administration

Efficiency expert. Tangherlini transitioned from acting status to official administrator of GSA in May without missing a beat. He has fostered a results-oriented IT mentality that is spreading across the government. He has engaged with the public and other agencies by sharing GSA's IT ventures through public events such as ACT-IAC's Executive Leadership Conference. In addition, GSA's recent transformation of its Washington office space to encourage collaboration has not only saved the agency money, but the framework is also slated to save the departments of Homeland Security, Agriculture, and Health and Human Services a combined $70 million.
