A successful citizen engagement strategy meets customers where they are today, and has the people, processes and technology in place – or at least planned -- to meet their expectations in the future. That is a high bar in the government space. The agencies that do it best have clear vision of where they are today and what is needed next year, in two years, or even five years. One standout in federal government is the Department of Justice, which in 2017 had the highest ranking on the annual American Customer Satisfaction Index report.
