To ensure the continued growth of cloud computing at federal agencies, government and industry leaders must work together to develop frameworks that support seamless implementation of federated community cloud environments. A good place to start is work undertaken by the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) to develop a reference architecture for federated clouds. The model provides a foundation for a cloud ecosystem and an economy amongst cloud providers that is transparent to users and applications. This session will also cover:
dynamic infrastructures that can support evolving business models
the USG Cloud Computing Standards and Technology Roadmap
Standards for Intercloud Interoperability and Federation (SIIF)
high priority requirements for the adoption of cloud
