Margaret Graves
Federal Deputy Chief Information Officer
Office of Management and Budget
The President’s Management Agenda, released last year, envisions a robust, IT-enabled federal government delivering on its mission. Of course, the move to modernization has already begun. Margie Graves will assess progress with attention paid to three aspects of the Modernizing Government for the 21st Century plan:
IT Modernization
Data as a Strategic Asset
Work Force of the 21st Century
She will also share examples of how modernization is happening at the General Services Administration and throughout government agencies. She’ll review popular tools of transition, assessments used to mark progress, shared services, the Citizen Impact Approach and “New Pay,” the federal government’s new payroll system.
