The work: Providing essential support to the General Services Administration as it migrated to an e-mail and collaboration system based on Google Apps.

The impact: GSA was one of the first federal agencies to make the jump to a commercial cloud service for e-mail, and it serves as a model for other agencies to follow in complying with the Obama administration’s cloud-first policy.

The nuts and bolts: With his focus on relationship building and collaboration, Gallagher helped GSA officials work through various elements of the cloud transition, such as managing communications with stakeholders, focusing on change management processes and launching training programs.
