Federal 100: Andrew M. McCann

Andrew M. McCann
Vice President, U.S. Public Sector
HP Enterprise Services

The work: Providing unstinting support to the Wounded Warrior Project, which helps severely injured veterans make the transition back to civilian life.

The impact: McCann raised awareness and sought donations for the organization from within HP and the larger federal IT community.

The nuts and bolts: McCann also contributed his own resources: He hosted a group of veterans at the 2011 Army/Navy football game and brought Eric Greitens, co-founder of The Mission Continues, to HP’s offices to discuss ways to support the organization’s goal of helping veterans rebuild a sense of purpose through community service. Along the way, McCann served as an executive sponsor of the American Heart Association’s annual campaign, which raised $43,000.
