Pair picked to deliver DOE software
Beyond.com and Network Management will supply Microsoft enterprise software products
Energy Department officials announced Aug. 7 that they have awarded Beyond.com Corp. and Network Management Corp. a three-year contract to provide the agency with all of its Microsoft Corp. enterprise software products.
The agreement, valued at more than $20 million, enables all DOE offices, as well as affiliated organizations, to take advantage of significant discounts on Microsoft products.
The contract also enables DOE to use Beyond.com's Automated Tracking of Licenses and Software technology to distribute, manage and track products online. NMC provides end-to-end network solutions to school districts, government agencies and private businesses. Its products and services are available on the General Services Administration schedule and the California Multiple Award schedule. Don Beery, vice president and general manager of Beyond.com's Government Systems Group, said the company looks forward to helping DOE reduce costs "through improved software management."
