NIH awards logistics contract
Anteon chosen to support services including automated inventory management
The National Institutes of Health has selected Anteon Corp., a leading information technology and engineering solutions company, to provide logistics management services at the agency's locations across the country.
The delivery order, awarded under the General Services Administration's Logistics Worldwide (Logworld) schedule contract, has a five-year duration and estimated value of $16 million.
Anteon's support includes automated inventory management services, physical inventory, property disposal and transportation support.
"Logistics modernization is a key business focus area for Anteon," said Joseph Kampf, president and chief executive officer of Anteon.
The other members of the Anteon team are New Year Tech Inc., a Vienna, Va.-based company that can aid in bar-coding and inventory tracking, and Priority One Services Inc., a logistics and transportation services firm based in Alexandria, Va.
