Muniz Engineering Inc. has won a small-business set aside contract for information technology services and security at NASA's Johnson Space Center in Houston, Texas.

The contract is being awarded to consolidate three existing technology contracts. Work under the contract will support the center's information resources directorate with services for general systems management, network security and firewall maintenance for certain systems. Network security, system administration, account management, data backup and system performance monitoring are also part of the contract.

The contractor also will perform technical assessments, security testing, development and updating of JSC Information Technology Security Plans, and other security-related activities.

Under the indefinite-delivery, indefinite-quantity contract, NASA will pay Muniz for its costs plus a profit. The deal pays up to $14 million for two years, and up to $35 million total over five years if all options are exercised.

DynCorp Technical Services LLC of Fort Worth, Texas, will be a major subcontractor.
