AlphaInsight earns another State contract

This pact, combined with one awarded last year, makes the company responsible for the infrastructure and applications of the department's Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations.

The State Department's Bureau of Overseas Buildings Operations has awarded a $3.2 million information technology services contract to AlphaInsight, its second contract in five months from the bureau.

Under the new agreement, AlphaInsight will provide software engineering services to the bureau in support of its Building Management Integrated System. The contract was awarded under the CIO-SP2 governmentwide acquisition contract.

In September 2005, the bureau selected the company for a $9.8 million deal to provide network engineering services.

Barry Kane, chief operating officer at AlphaInsight, said the two contracts cover the bureau's IT infrastructure and the applications that run on it.

The bureau manages the design, construction, acquisition, maintenance, use and sale of property worldwide in support of State. AlphaInsight has provided services to various department units and bureaus for the past 16 years, according to the company.
