The Army has surpassed the Air Force in proposed federal information technology spending based on President Bush’s fiscal 2008 budget figures. Otherwise, the president’s proposed budget shows few status changes compared with a similar ranking of the government’s biggest IT spenders a year ago. Eight of the top 20 would see their proposed IT budgets shrink.
