Letter: GSA Advantage not significant in MAS program's success

A reader writes that the GSA Advantage program will not give reliable information about the buying habits of the administration's customers.

Regarding "GSA sees agencies buying more via online shops"

The Multiple Award Schedules program has gross sales of more than $35 billion. [The] $538 million in Advantage [Spend Analysis Program] (a small percentage of this is for services) is not going to give you statistically reliable information about General Service Administration customer buying patterns.

GSA Advantage is not now, nor has it ever been, a significant factor in the success of the MAS program.
