Letter to the editor

I am another one of the many IT workers that will be used and left by the wayside.

I now hold a systems administrator position and am in a job classification of another color. My division refuses to convert me to a 2210 (information technology specialist) position and has recently moved and disassociated my two assistants so they will not be identified as IT staff.

I work under a computer engineer and support more than 350 users.

I plan to escape this nightmare as soon as I can find a place to go! I have almost 20 years service, 15 of it in the data field. I am leaving it so I can have peace of mind.
