Integrators on Schedule

Integrators are jumping on the bandwagon as more sales go through the

General Services Administration's multiple-award schedule program.

PRC Inc., a company known for such IDIQ vehicles as the Defense Department's Supermini, is a recent schedule holder. With the maximum order limitation (MOL) gone, PRC is using its established IDIQ infrastructure as a blueprint to build support for its GSA business.

"PRC did not look at GSA as a major business opportunity until they lifted the MOL," said Mike Mooney, vice president of business development at PRC. "Now we are committed, and there will be constant additions to our GSA schedule for as long as the government supports this venue for new orders."

Many executives said they view the addition of systems integration services to Schedule 70 B/C contracts as a new business opportunity. "Any integrator who doesn't have a GSA schedule today needs to get one," said Bob Guerra, executive vice president of Sysorex Information Systems Inc., Fairfax, Va. "They need to be both in the IDIQ and the GSA market to optimize on existing capability." Sysorex launched its first GSA schedule last year.
