Lynn McNulty former president of McNulty & Associates information security consulting firm has accepted the position of director of government affairs for RSA Data Security Inc.'s McLean Va. office.

RSA is a heavy-hitter in the cryptography and OEM security software market with an installed base of more than 80 million.

McNulty a familiar figure among the government information security sector was associate director of computer security at the National Institute of Standards and Technology before starting his own firm in April 1995.

McNulty's resume includes 30 years of federal government experience in information security with NIST the State Department the Federal Aviation Administration and the CIA.

Retired Army Lt. Gen. Steven Arnold was named chief administrative officer at National Data Corp. a provider of value-added systems and services for payroll and health care applications. Until last month Arnold served as commanding general of the Army Forces Central Command in the Middle East and Northern Africa.

Research and consulting group Federal Sources Inc. McLean Va. last month announced two promotions. Mark Mistrik was appointed to the position of manager of the company's indefinite-delivery indefinite-quantity tracking service and Julie Switzer was promoted to Fedmark account manager.
