Bruce Vladeck resigned from his post as administrator of the Health Care Financing Administration last month to pursue a career in teaching and consulting. His resignation is effective Sept. 13. Nancy-Ann Min DeParle currently deputy administrator of HCFA has been nominated to replace Vladeck who oversees high-profile programs such as the Medicare Transaction System.

The General Services Administration last month announced that John Price an acquisitions specialist at the Department of Health and Human Services is the first federal acquisition employee to complete all five of its capital planning courses. Price completed courses on capital planning basics comprehensive capital IT planning IT project management IT program planning and federal IT planning policy.

Charles Ervin last month joined BDM International Inc. as vice president of business development for BDM's Enterprise Management Services business unit. Prior to joining BDM Ervin was vice president and general manager of Lockheed Martin Logistics Management.
