CALNET Selection Criteria Online

California's Department of General Services (DGS) recently put on its Web page (www.dgs.ca.gov) its business partner selection process for the sale of CALNET. The state is looking to privatize its telecommunications network: the California Integrated Telecommunications Network, which services about 250,000 customers. "We're still aiming to have the system sold by Jan. 1, 1998," a DGS spokeswoman said.
