Air Force. Navstar Global Positioning System (GPS) Joint Program Office (JPO) User Equipment Defense Advanced GPS Receiver. Sol. F04701-96-R-0011. (CBD Aug. 20) This action originally publicized in the CBD on Dec. 9 1996 is being republished to reflect a two-year schedule slip. All other information publicized in the original synopsis is correct. The Navstar GPS JPO is seeking offerors for the follow-on to the Precision Lightweight GPS Receiver acquisition. The follow-on receiver will now be referred to as the Defense Advanced GPS Receiver. It must be functionally backward-compatible with existing interfaces and support equipment such that current integration and support capabilities are unaffected to the maximum extent practicable. The JPO anticipates buying about 190 000 receivers over a seven-year period.
