White House to tap Kammer for NIST role

As expected the White House said last week it will nominate Ray Kammer as the director of the National Institute of Standards and Technology. Kammer currently deputy director of NIST is also serving on an acting basis as the chief financial officer the assistant secretary for administration and the chief information officer at the Commerce Department. He replaces former director Arati Prabhakar who left NIST in March for a job in the private sector.
