The Senate last week confirmed Raymond Kammer to be director of the National Institute of Science and Technology Terry Garcia to be assistant secretary of Commerce for oceans and atmosphere at the National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration Arthur Bienenstock to be associate director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy at Commerce and Duncan Moore to be associate director of the Office of Science and Technology Policy at Commerce.

Mark Giguere has joined the National Archives and Records Administration as an information technology specialist. He recently worked for the city of Philadelphia on systems requirements for electronic record-keeping and will have similar duties at NARA.

Peter DiGiammarino former president and chief operating officer at Hyperion Software Co. was named senior vice president and general manager of BTG Integration and Network Systems. Carolyn Redmon and Steve Baldwin were appointed to senior vice president positions at BTG. Redmon will head BTG's Technology Systems Operations unit and Baldwin will take charge of the company's Technology Systems Solutions organization.
