Austin, Texas, Launches Virtual Tour of New Airport

Austin, Texas, this week launched a virtual reality tour of its new airport, which is scheduled to open May 23. Travelers are encouraged to make their first visit to the Austin-Bergstrom International Airport via the World Wide Web at www.ci.austin.tx.us/newairport/vrt.htm.

Commissioned by the City of Austin New Airport Project Team, the site uses the 3-D technology. Double-clicking on signs, display screens and art work along the tour, visitors can access information on airlines, rental car companies and restaurants. Real-time flight information and hotel information will be added soon.
