FCW wins online award

Federal Computer Week received a top national award last week for its online news coverage.

The award was part of the 21st annual Publication Excellence Awards of the American Society of Business Press Editors. ASBPE gave its gold award to FCW, an International Data Group Corp. publication, for best original online news section. Computerworld, also an IDG publication, took the silver award, and The Industry Standard, another IDG property, received the bronze award.

The online entries were judged by online publication editors and designers for quality of content and for quality and relevance of graphics. In addition, judges considered ease of navigation and effective use of online technology.
