Women Executives in State Government Selects IT Committee

Women Executives in State Government, a nonprofit, nonpartisan organization of cabinet-level state government executives from across the country, recently named New Jersey chief information officer Wendy Raymer as the organization's chairwoman.

The 13-member IT committee also includes Kentucky CIO Aldona Valicenti as well as Ohio Lt. Gov. Maureen O'Connor, Arkansas Secretary of State Sharon Priest and Utah Lt. Gov. Olene Walker.

WESG (www.wesg.org) recently took over management of the National States Geographic Information Council, a nonprofit organization composed of state government officials working with spatial information and technologies. WESG's next meeting is Nov. 18 in Boston.
